If a 24 pph injector was installed in a stock 350 TPI and the injector constant not revised from 22 to 24, it would create a global rich condition. I have verified this personally. Even changing the fuel pressure from stock can create a problem because changing fuel pressure in effect revises the flow rate of the injector.

Next, the TPI manifold system was designed for torque on a 305. That's why it has long, small runners. It limited the rpm capability of the stock 350, and yours (again, I'm presuming) is going to want to rev even higher. Not good. Another thing: some of the TPI's used a manifold air pressure (MAP) sensor, and some used a mass airflow (MAF) sensor.
Sounds like a good deal to me. A 350 has 5.7L cast into the rear of the block behind the pass. side head, 305 will have 5.0L. 8th digit on the vin should be 8 for 350, H for 305. The ECU controls the fans too, so try to get them. There ain't a whole lot of difference between a TPI small block and any other small block.
GM used 3 different fuel pressures for the 350 TPI from 40 in 85, 43 in 86, and 87, and in midyear 88 they went to 47. All years used 22 as the injector flow rate in the programming. If you could tell me the fuel rail number? I can tell you what year it came from. It's the number on the rear of the drivers side rail that starts with 1708XXXX.

My 1st post and I'm not a mechanic or anything close to it. I purchased my 1st 1967 chevelle 3 months ago. It has a 1990 camaro 350 tpi engine in it. I have changed the iac, new plugs, wires, dist.cap and rotor. New o2 sensor. New coolant sensor. Pretty much the easy stuff for a guy with my limited knowledge.
